Important moments in our journey...

November 1, 2014:

On a cold, fall afternoon, after 7 long years of dating, we say, "I do." 

December 25, 2014:

In gorgeous, green Ireland, we first begin trying to start our family.

January 2015: Miscarriage #1

March 2015: Miscarriage #2.

November 2015: We decide to seek help with a fertility doctor.

December 2015: We're diagnosed with "unexplained infertility."

December 2015 - March 2016:

Unable to afford fertility treatments, we continue trying on our own.

March, April, May 2016:

We try medicated cycles for the first time.

Still no positive pregnancy test.

June 18, 2016:
We decide to pursue adoption.

June 2016 - July 2017:

We're still trying to start our family on our own, but begin adoption classes and our first home study.

August 20, 2017:

We're matched with a beautiful 9 month old baby boy named Will.

August 20, 2017 - February 28, 2018: Life is Perfect.

February 28, 2018:

We're told the adoption will not go through, and Will is going to be returning to his birth parents.

March 4, 2018:

We return to a NEW fertility doctor to find a NEW diagnosis: low ovarian reserve.

May 18, 2018: Will leaves our home and we're forced to say goodbye.

June-July 2018: IUI #1 and IUI #2: Big. Fat. Negative.

September 8, 2018: We begin our first IVF cycle.

November 5, 2018: TRANSFER DAY!!

November 13, 2018: Big. Fat. Positive!!!!!!

December 4, 2018: 

Miscarriage #3. We feel totally and completely devastated.

January 1, 2019: We decide to pursue adoption... again.

Welcome to our journey of finally becoming a family of three. 

After four long years of waiting and wishing and hoping and praying, we've found an adoption agency who knows our history and knows our heartache and is willing to work with us. This blog will document our journey to grow our family.
